What an ingenious idea! I loved it so much, I am promoting it through my own blog! As a Peace Corps Volunteer in Jamaica, I was so disturbed by the amount of plastic bottles we found during our beach clean-ups and throughout the country, I was always wishing that someone would figure out a good way to use them. The usual way of "getting rid" of the bottles was to burn them, resulting in 1/3 of the children suffering from such severe asthma that they were on breathing treatments (that is,as long as the family could afford it).
Congratulations on such a wonderful idea. I hope that it flourishes throughout the world! By the way, I first learned about your lights through Reddit.com, so this idea is spreading!
